Paratransit to Stop Service Overnight Due to Weather

Bismarck, N.D. – Icy road conditions and the threat of blowing snow are causing the Bis-Man Transit paratransit service to shut down this evening.

Paratransit service will conclude Monday, November 28, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. and will begin again at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, weather permitting. Traditionally the paratransit service operates 24 hours a day.

Capital Area Transit (CAT) is expected to begin running at traditional times on Tuesday morning. The first route of the day, the M-2, begins service at 6:10 a.m. with most other routes beginning service at 6:30 a.m. or 7 a.m., depending on the route.

The weather system effecting the Capital area began with rain on Sunday evening, that eventually turned to snow that was expected to remain in the region through Wednesday.

Bis-Man Transit will continue to alert the public of any service alterations through its website, and its social media channels (Facebook and Twitter).
