Bis-Man Transit Asks For “YES” Vote For Measure One

October 2, 2024 -  Bismarck, N.D. – – On November 5th, 2024, Bismarck residents will have the opportunity to vote on a half-cent sales tax to help fund Public Safety and Public Transportation needs.  Bis-Man Transit asks Bismarck residents to vote “YES” to Measure One on November 5th.

If Measure One is approved, three-tenths of a cent will be allocated to public safety, specifically for the construction of police and fire stations, the acquisition of emergency vehicles, and the Bismarck portion of operating costs for the Burleigh/Morton Detention Center. This funding will ensure first responders have the necessary resources to keep our community safe.

The remaining two-tenths of a cent will be designated for addressing public transportation needs, focusing on providing reliable services for disabled, elderly, and low-income community members.  This initiative aims to ensure that all residents have access to transportation options that cater to their specific requirements.

More information on Measure One can be found at www.bismantransit.com/measure-1.

The goal of Bis-Man Transit is to deliver valued public transportation, linking people, jobs and communities.
