Bis-Man Transit Launches New Website

How do I use The CAT bus?  How much does it cost to ride the city bus?  Where can I find your route maps online?  What are the eligibility criteria to sign up for the door to door (paratransit) bus service and where can I get an application?  How does the  paratransit bus system work?

These are just a few of the questions that can now be answered with the launch of Bis-Man Transit’s new website found at www.bismantransit.com and www.thecatbus.com.

At the site, people they can learn more about Bis-Man Transit’s door to door bus service for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities.  The pages show interested applicants and applicants’ caretakers what the criterion is for signing up for the service, how the service is operated, and the costs.  Applications can be downloaded from the website and printed off.

Capital Area Transit (The CAT) city bus routes and information are also on the website.  Common questions are answered including how to read the maps, flag down the bus, pay the fare, fare costs, and how to depart off the bus.  There are also areas showcasing special promotions and two ways for visitors to stay connected to Bismarck-Mandan public transportation through The CAT Club and Facebook.

“Our website is an exciting milestone for Bis-Man Transit and The CAT,” said Robin Werre, Bis-Man Transit Director.  “One of our goals is to ease the fears of uncertainty that people have about riding public transportation.  The new website gives them a chance to learn more about our services and how they can use them.”
