Board of Director Changes at Bis-Man Transit

April 26, 2013 - Bismarck, N.D. – At the April 25th board meeting and annual meeting, Bis-Man Transit elected two new board members, re-elected four board members and elected officers.

DeNae Kautzmann served as board president for two years and has been on the board of directors for  12 years.  She says she will continue to serve on the board.  “It is an exciting time to be a part of Bis-Man Transit.” Kautzmann said. “As we see population in this area continue to grow, we also see ridership continue to grow. We are excited about the challenges presented with the population growth in our community.”

Bis-Man Transit Director Robin Werre said “DeNae has provided Bis-Man Transit with outstanding leadership.  We thank her for her service on our board as president and we look forward to the guidance that Steve Selzler can bring to the table as well as our two new board members.”

New Board Members:

  • Steve Heydt – Steve is a vice president at Starion Financial.
  • Nick Wagner – Nick is the owner and a personal trainer at Functional Fitness.

Board Members Re-elected:

  • Julie Wald
  • Glen Lauinger
  • Jane Morrow
  • Terry Woelber

Officers:

  • Steve Selzler was the vice president and will assume the office of president.
  • Director Marge Ellefson was elected vice president.
  • Incumbent secretary/treasurer Jane Morrow was re-elected to that position.

The Bis-Man Transit board of directors meets on the fourth Thursday at noon in February, April (also the annual meeting), June, August, October and December.  The board oversees the operation of the paratransit and Capitol Area Transit (CAT) bus systems in Bismarck and Mandan.
