Changes To Capital Area Transit Orange Route

July 1, 2025 -  Bismarck, N.D. – – Effective July 7th, 2025, Bis-Man Transit will implement a change to the Capital Area Transit (CAT) orange fixed-route for a trial period.  The change to the CAT bus orange route will run through September 1st

The changes will not affect the Westbound orange route.  The changes to the Eastbound orange route are as follows:

-After leaving the Front Avenue transfer point, orange route will travel east on Front

Avenue, turn north on 9th Street, turn east on Broadway Avenue, and turn south on Airport

Road.  Orange route will then continue on the existing route until it reaches 31st Street, at which

point it will continue eastbound on Rosser Avenue until it reaches the Bis-Man Transit facility.

After the trial period has finished, Bis-Man Transit will review ridership and feedback to determine if it would be beneficial to continue with the route revisions, or revert back to the current route.

"We've heard from our riders about the need for better access to key destinations like CHI St. Alexius," said Deidre Hughes, Executive Director at Bis-Man Transit. "We're eager to see how this change works and will closely monitor ridership and feedback to ensure it meets the needs of our community."

Riders can track the location of the CAT buses in real time on their computer or smart phone, through the Passio Go app.  For more information, visit www.bismantransit.com.

The goal of Bis-Man Transit is to deliver valued public transportation, linking people, jobs and communities.
