Scharnowske Joins BMT, CAT

September 5, 2014 - Bismarck, N.D. – Shanda Scharnowske has recently joined Bis-Man Transit (BMT) and Capital Area Transit (CAT) as an Administrative Assistant. Scharnowske, who began working for BMT and CAT at the beginning of August, is splitting time between front desks at the BMT/CAT office and the bus depot.

“Shanda has been an impactful addition to our staff,” said Transit Director Robin Werre. “Every day she is a first point of contact for our organization and she has proven to be both helpful and resourceful in providing the customers we serve with a high degree of service.”

Scharnowske has graduated from University of Phoenix with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She recently returned to North Dakota with her two sons – Eli, 7, and Noah, 6 – after spending the last 16 years living in Texas. She enjoys spending time at the park and zoo with her two sons, and getting together with her family, now that she lives closer.

“I really enjoy interacting with the public,” said Scharnowske. “We work with some really fun customers, and I work with a lot of great coworkers.”
