December 5, 2013 - Bismarck, N.D. – Beginning Monday, December 9, 2013, the CAT buses will no longer pull under the north canopy at the Kirkwood Mall.
At the END of each route, the bus will pull up to the north entrance of the Kirkwood Mall by
I. Keating Furniture. Riders may get off/on the bus there. Immediately after unloading/loading riders, the bus will head to the new shelter where it will wait for riders until the top of the hour or half hour, and it will take off for its next route.
The new bus shelter is located next to CVS Pharmacy in the parking lot, still adjacent to the Kirkwood Mall.
Riders are encouraged to ask a driver or call the CAT administrative office at 701-323-9228 if they have any questions about the transfer point change.
Bis-Man Transit paratransit service provides 24/7 door-to-door transportation for people with disabilities and seniors age 60 or older. Started in 1990, Bis-Man Transit operates within the cities, two miles surrounding city limits of Bismarck, Mandan, and Lincoln N.D., and provides service to the University of Mary.
Capital Area Transit, better known as the CAT Bus, is the fixed route public bus system serving Bismarck and Mandan, N.D. The CAT was started in 2004 and currently runs 12 routes, Monday through Sunday, approximately 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., depending on the route.
