Bismarck, N.D. – Capital Area Transit (CAT) is selling passes available to students for unlimited rides through the summer at a reduced rate.
Student Summer Passes provide K-12 and college students with unlimited rides, beginning after the Memorial Day holiday and concluding at Labor Day. The pass costs $20 and is available for purchase from CAT drivers, as well as the CAT administrative office at the Bis-Man Transit Center, 3750 East Rosser Avenue.
“We really enjoy being able to offer this pass for students,” said Interim Transit Director Al Wangler. “It is a tremendous value, and with it students know they can get to where they need to go this summer, on time, and parents know their kids are getting there safe.”
The pass is available to any student. High school students need only show any identification, while college students must present valid school identification. If students attending schools outside Bismarck return to the area, they can also be eligible for the summer pass. Students who graduated this spring are also eligible for the pass upon presentation of age or college ID verification.
The CAT is a fixed-route transit system that serves Bismarck and Mandan with 12 routes. The routes begin running as early as 6:10 a.m., with routes shutting down service at 6:55 p.m., depending on the route. If you have any questions about the passes, please call the CAT administrative office at 323-9228. For route information on the go, download the free RouteShout app.
